Foodarity.org ("the Platform") is operated by Kool Krowd Ventures, based in Rogers, Arkansas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to collecting the minimum amount of personal data necessary to operate the Platform effectively.

3. Information We Do Not Collect
We have intentionally designed the Platform to minimize sensitive data collection. We do not collect:
- Social Security numbers (SSN)
- Dates of birth
- Income documentation or financial statements
- Government-issued identification
- Bank account or routing numbers
- Credit card numbers (payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details)
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Platform operations: Processing donations, screening applications, fulfilling grocery deliveries, and communicating with donors and applicants.
- Public family profiles: Displaying approved applicant information (first name, city, household size, number of children, employment status, and food preferences) on the Platform to facilitate donor contributions. Last names, email addresses, and physical addresses are never displayed publicly.
- Transactional emails: Sending donation receipts, application status updates, and delivery confirmation notices.
- Internal analytics: Understanding donor geography, referral sources, and platform usage to improve the service.
5. Payment Processing
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a donation, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not receive, process, or store your credit card number, debit card number, or bank account details. We receive only a transaction confirmation, the donation amount, and a Stripe transaction reference ID.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With third-party service providers, solely for the purpose of operating the Platform (e.g., payment processing, hosting, grocery fulfillment).
- With grocery fulfillment providers (delivery address only, at the time of fulfillment only).
- If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Kool Krowd Ventures, Platform users, or the public.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to provide the Platform's services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:
- Donor data: Retained for the duration of your engagement with the Platform plus 12 months for record-keeping purposes.
- Applicant data: Active profiles are retained while the application is pending or funded. Archived profiles are retained for 12 months after archival, then deleted.
- Fulfillment records: Retained for 24 months for operational and accountability purposes.
- Delivery addresses: Deleted within 30 days of delivery completion.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information. If you are an applicant with an active profile, deletion will remove your profile from the Platform.
- Withdrawal: If you are an applicant, you may withdraw your application at any time by contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the information provided on our website. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform does not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. Firebase Hosting may use essential cookies for security and performance purposes. No third-party advertising trackers, pixels, or analytics scripts are present on the Platform.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
11. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect, including HTTPS encryption (SSL) for all data in transit, secure third-party service providers (Stripe, Firebase, Google Cloud), and access controls limiting who can view operational data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
